The Flinders project focused on reworking an established garden that had become difficult to manage due to persistent weeds and limited usable space. While the garden already had a solid foundation, the client wanted a design that felt more open, low-maintenance, and relaxing.

Together, we refined the vision and created a more functional, flowing layout. Large sweeping curves of corten steel edging were added to define the garden beds, giving the space cleaner lines and a strong visual structure. To reduce maintenance, the garden beds were scaled back, the top layer of soil was scraped to remove existing weeds, and a thick layer of mulch was applied. Native ground covers were also introduced to help suppress future weed growth and bring softness and texture to the space.

We extended the existing pathway to create a sunny seating area along the fence, making the most of a warm, inviting corner of the garden.

The result is a clean, spacious, and easy-care outdoor space designed for comfort, simplicity, and year-round enjoyment.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and pay our deepest respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. We honor First Nations peoples' enduring connection to these lands, waters, and skies and recognize their resilience, culture, and the wisdom that has nurtured this Country for countless generations. We are grateful to create and connect on this sacred land and are committed to honoring it.
